Lights, Camera, Action!

OKAY so tomorrow my partners and I are officially going to write the script and ask my drama teacher for permission to use the auditorium in order to fully execute this piece. Meanwhile, as I delve into the realm of this character Rae, my partners and I think that she has the quirkiness of Zooey Deschanel from New Girl.

She kind of looks like me except she adds the more awkward factor.

Also! I watched Easy A  today for inspiration on my film piece and although it's a comedy I really appreciate the character of Emma Stone because I want Rae to be the same way. For her to have a hidden confidence that goes beyond what people say about her not being realistic about what she wants to pursue. After watching this movie, I was going through my closet for elements of mis-en-scene and I found this denim jean skirt that I DEFINITELY think Rae would wear. She's a little bit of an outcast but she can still be trendy am I right?

This entire film really reminds me of Napoleon Dynamite because like Mrs. Stoklosa described, that movie is a fun, simple piece that all kinds of people can enjoy. That's how I perceive this piece. We don't have much funding and we have this beautiful school to take advantage of. Although it's a simple story, I feel like simple really really works with this project. There's such beauty in simplicity and it reaches a large target audience.
